
Brazil Security Day Conference 2012
November 22nd, 2011The 1st edition of BSD – Brazilian Security Day, has the mission of exchange international knowledge, through networking between speakers and visitors. The discussion of Strategic Management in IT Governance Areas, Information Security and Cybersecurity, is already a Global concern, as the event crew believes being of great importance to expand this discussion to a international sphere.
In this sense Brasília, being the capital of Brasil, is the best place for this meeting, where the continuous learning of a community always open a dialogue with the world, learn and teach, do business and meet new forms of strategic management on TIC Governance area and Information Security, will be the mission of the event.
This event is for security information professionals, IT , Risk and TIC Managers, from governement and company sectors, also for professionals linked to combat and digital fraud areas.
The main object of the event is to give the professionals the opportunity to share ideas in decision making, new conceptions and contact with real cases, through stories of success and experiência of the best professionals in the market.

- Patrick Mcilwee F.B.C.I
Fellow of the BCI – Business Continuity Institute – has over 20 years experience in the fields of disaster management and business continuity and has been involved in operational responses to 4572 incidents both within the UK and overseas.
Patrick’s wide ranging experience, including detailed knowledge of BS25999, has enabled him to offer advice and support across the range of Multi-Nationals to SMEs in a wide variety of sectors including; Airports Authorities, Local Government, Health Services, Industrial Organizations, Local Authorities, Retail Outlets, Transport & Logistics Organizations, Utilities Companies, Voluntary Organizations, Banks and Baking Regulators.
- Boris Agranovich (Founder – GlobalRisk Community)
Entrepreneurial business leader with 25+ years of global experience in Financial Services, IT and Consulting. Worked in West & East Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific. Advised executive teams on effective risk management strategies. These range from regulatory requirements such as Basel II to strategic risk propositions such as defining and setting risk appetite, embedding risk management through the organization. Founder of the world’s premier community for Risk Managers of the GlobalRisk Community.
- Steve Watkins (Director, Training and Consultancy from IT Governance ltd)
Steve leads the consultancy and training services of IT Governance Ltd. He is Chair of the ISO/IEC 27001 User Group, the UK Chapter of the ISMS International User Group, and an ISMS Technical Expert of UKAS, advising on their assessments of certification bodies offering accredited certification. Steve sits on the Management Committee of the British Standards Society and is an active member of the committee responsible for writing the British Standard for Risk Management.
- Ian Lawrence Webster (Governance Consultant and President at ISACA Brasilia Chapter)
Two degrees, one in Design and the other in Business Administration and I am a CGEIT. Certified Professional (Godfathering programme). I have over 20 years of experience with Corporate and IT Management, with over 6 years in Governance. I am a member of ISACA and the founder President for the Brasília Chapter, a member of OCEG – Open Compliance and Ethics Group and Transparencia Brasil, an NGO that combats corruption. My sector experience varies from industrial manufacturing, federal government, healthcare and universities.
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), from ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association), ITIL v.3 Foundation and Training for Trainers Certification.
The event will happen in March, 15, 2012 in Brasilia (Brasil).
